Mouse embryonic skin expressing β-Gal
Image shows a piece of developing mouse skin stained with X-gal. The entire span of epidermis stained positive for β-Gal,
while the dermis is negative. The sample was embedded in epoxy resin; 1-micron sections were cut with a histo-diamond knife and
counter-stained with Toluidine blue.
